The Serve - Feeding the food poor and homeless 365 days a year

In the heart of Frankton, Hamilton, something extraordinary happens every single night — no questions asked. The Serve is a grassroots community initiative providing free meals 365 days a year to anyone who needs it. But it’s more than just food. It’s connection. It’s dignity. It’s hope. This powerful video shares the real stories behind The Serve — from humble beginnings in a car park with soup and a bun, to a volunteer-led operation serving hundreds daily. Meet the founders, the volunteers, the neighbours, and those who come for a meal and find community.Through laughter, hardship, and unconditional aroha, The Serve shows us what happens when judgment is left at the door and people show up with full hearts and open hands. Now the Serve is influencing the systems that are causing food poverty in our communities. Looking to collaborate and create real change that will go beyond a hot meal each day to wrap around care and real support. They are also are in need of a bigger venue from which to operate. They have the deep trust and respect of our most vulnerable communities and really are the organistion to support if people with influence and connections would like to help be part of real change.
